    Fiemme Rollerski Cup is a long distance roller ski mass start competition (50/20 Km), in classic technique. It will take place on Sunday, 16th September 2018 in Val di Fiemme (Trento).
    All athletes, both male and female, who are already 18 years old on the competition day, can register to the competition.
    An Élite category, which can be composed by a maximum of 200 athletes, is foreseen in this competition.

    2.1 Organising Committee
    Fiemme Rollerski Cup is organised by Nordic Ski WM 2003 Val di Fiemme srl, in cooperation with Guide World Classic Tour.

2.2       Timetable
Fiemme Rollerski Cup will take place on Sunday 16th September 2018, and it will start at 9.00 from Ziano di Fiemme.
The team captains meeting will be carried out at the municipality building in Ziano di Fiemme on Saturday 15th September 2018 at 18.30

The bibs distribution will take place inside the municipality building in Ziano di Fiemme, according to the following times:

  • Saturday 15th September: from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 17.00
  • Sunday 16th September: from 7.00 to 8.30

The organizing committee will put three time limits along the competition course:

  • In Masi di Cavalese, where there is the change of course 20/50 km: km 16, at 10.30
  • In Molina di Fiemme: km 23,5, at 11.00
  • In Ziano di Fiemme, km 37,5, at 12.00
  • Finish: at 13.30

The prize giving ceremony will take place on Sunday 16th September at 14.00 in the big tent near the soccer field in Ziano di Fiemme.

2.3       Registration procedure
2.3.1     Entries will be open on the website www.fiemmerollerskicup.it starting from 20th February 2018 till 14th September 2018.
2.3.2     Sending his/her entry, any participant must supply the Organiser with all the information requested on the entry form. It is compulsory for each athlete to choose the competition course (50 km or 20 km), and this choice can’t be changed anymore. Any incomplete form won’t be accepted.
2.3.3     Once the entry is confirmed, each participant will receive a confirmation e-mail.

2.3.4     During the online entry procedure, each participant will be requested to pay the entry fee of 40,00 €. The payment can be made with credit card, Paypal, Satispay or bank money transfer through the official web site http://www.endu.net, where the participants will find the entry form to fill. The entries will be automatically registered.
2.3.5     The entry fee includes:

  • Transportation of the clothing bags from the start to the finish
  • Transportation of the athletes via cable car from the finish area to the down valley station. Then transportation by bus from the down valley cable car station to the start area.
  • Meal voucher for the lunch on Sunday 16th September
  • Competition gadgets

2.3.6     All entries are strictly personal and cannot be reimbursed in case of withdrawal.

2.4       Events of force majeure

The Organiser won’t be responsible if the competition is modified, shortened or cancelled due to an event of force majeure or independent from its control. Events of force majeure include: safety reasons, atmospheric phenomena and unforeseen events unrelated to the will of the Organiser, and which could compromise the good execution of the event. All competitors will be informed about any change to these Rules, including any cause of force majeure, on the event’s internet site. The changes will be considered part of the present Rules. Any change of the Rules will be considered accepted by all participants when sending their entries for the competition. In case of cancellation of the event, the organising committee will reimburse 50% of the entry fee to the participants.


3.1       Conditions of participation

In order to take part in the competition, all participants must:

  • Be 18 years old within 16th September 2018
  • Have read the present Rules before the competition
  • Respect the safety and competition regulations foreseen by the present Rules
  • Be perfectly aware of the risks involved by participating in this event. Sending their entries, the participants declare they have considered the risks related to their participation, perfectly aware of their physical and technical skills; each participant will be responsible for personally insuring for any material or physical damage;
  • Possess the technical compulsory equipment, according to FIS/FISI rules, and then submit to the technical controls carried out before the start;
  • Respect the anti-doping rules of the Italian Agency for the Fight against Doping.

3.2       Definition of categories

3.2.1     Élite category (Long Distance 50 km)

The Élite category is reserved to those athletes who have an active FIS code. Male and female categories are open both for Italian and foreign athletes, on condition that they are already 18 years old on the competition day.
All competitors of this category will compete with a pair of roller skis for classic technique provided by the Organising Committee.

3.2.2     Popular category (Long Distance 50 km & Short Distance 20 km)

The athletes that want to take part in this category must have either the Italian Ski Federation membership card or a medical certificate for sport activity (see article 3.3.1). Male and female categories are open both for Italian and foreign athletes, on condition that they are already 18 years old on the competition day.

Competitors of the Popular category will compete with their own rollerski for classic technique.

3.3     Necessary Documents

3.3.1  Each participant must send or present to the Organisation the following documents:

  • Elite category: valid identity card and active FIS code
  • Popular category 50/20 km, foreign athletes: valid identity card
  • Popular category 50/20 km, Italian athletes:
    • Valid identity card;
    • Membership card of the Italian Ski Federation or medical sport certificate (D.M. 18/02/82), valid on 16/09/18, or certificate of medical suitability, according to D.M. of 24th April 2013 art. 4 (attachment D, activity of high and particular cardiovascular commitment), valid on 16th September 2018, issued by a specialist in sports medicine, or by a general medicine doctor.

3.3.2     It is the duty of each participant to verify the coverage of his/her own sports insurance policy in case of accident or damage to others during the Fiemme Rollerski Cup, in order to be insured for that event.

5.1       Information about the competition

The athletes will all start in Ziano di Fiemme, taking the main road “Strada Statale 48” of the Dolomites (SS48), direction Predazzo. They will go on till the roundabout “Birreria”, pass through all the village of Predazzo, and then take the cycle path direction Molina di Fiemme. After passing through the cross country stadium in Lago di Tesero, the competitors will reach Molina di Fiemme (along the cycle path of Fiemme & Fassa, which is mostly on the Marcialonga course), then they will take again the SS48 and go through the villages of Castello di Fiemme, Cavalese, Tesero and Panchià, in order to reach again Ziano. From Ziano all the athletes will go to Masi di Cavalese, where they will start the Cermis uphill. The finish line will be on the intermediate station of Alpe Cermis (Doss dei Laresi), in the same place where in winter there is the Final Climb of Tour de Ski.

5.1.2     The Long Distance competition will have a total length of 50 km, with 780 m difference in altitude.

The Short Distance track will be the same as the Long Distance one till the industrial area of Masi di Cavalese (few kilometers after the cross country stadium in Lago di Tesero), where the athletes of the short distance will immediately turn left and start the final uphill to reach the Alpe Cermis.

5.1.4     The positions on the starting lanes will be assigned according to FIS/FISI points, and also according to any wild card that the jury can give at its discretion.

5.2       Timekeeping

5.2.1     An electronic chip, that must be fixed on the athletes’ ankle, will be given to all participants for timekeeping.

5.2.2     Along the track the organisation will place some intermediate times and some check points. 5.2.3 The final Cermis uphill will be timed, and there will be a proper result list for this last part of the competition.

5.2.4     Some intermediate sprint points will be placed along the competition course, rewarded with proper prizes. Only the athletes that make the 50 km course (Elite and Popular category) will have the right to compete for this sprint points.

5.3       Refreshment

Some refreshment points and technical assistance posts will be arranged along the competition course.  

5.4       Equipment check before the start

5.4.1     Before each start, all race equipment will be checked in the starting area.

5.4.2     The equipment will have to be in compliance with the characteristics requested by the current FIS/FISI rules.

5.4.3     In case the equipment is not in compliance with the Rules or incomplete, the participant won’t be allowed to start.


After the competition, the organization will arrange the following result lists:

  • Guide World Classic Tour Élite 50 km, men and women
  • Popular Long Distance, men and women
  • Popular Short Distance, men and women


The prize money for the first three athletes of the Elite category, both men and women, will be distributed according to the rules of the Guide World Classic Tour.  

The prizes will be paid by the Organizer to the competitors by cheque or bank transfer within a limit of 30 days after the end of the event.

If the race is cancelled by the organization, prizes will not be delivered.

In order to receive the prize money, the athletes will have to be present at the official prize giving ceremony, with a valid ID Card. 


8.1       The Jury

The jury is composed by:

  • FIS Technical Delegate
  • FIS Technical Delegate Assistant
  • Chief of Competition
  • Race Director Guide World Classic Tour

8.2       Complaints
Any complaint must be presented on the proper form, according to the FIS/FISI rules. Each complaint must be handed over together with a deposit of 50 €, that will be given back to the athlete if the complaint itself is accepted.  


The race bibs must be visible throughout the entire duration of the race and must be worn over the race clothing. The bibs will be different according to the track chosen by each athlete (50 km or 20 km). 

    Fiemme Rollerski Cup is regulated exclusively by the FIS/FISI Rules, and the participants are obliged to conform these rules.

All personal data sent with the entries by each competitor can be used by the Organiser, with the procedure and the purposes included in article 13 of D.L. 196/2003. Personal data collected at this Competition are registered electronically and used by the Organizer with the following purposes: competition management, distribution of prizes and promotion of other sport events that could be interesting for the participants. 


Participation in the competition implies the pure and simple acceptance of the present Rules and of any change made by the Organising Committee at its discretion.

The updated version of the Rules will always be available on the website www.fiemmerollerskicup.it.


In accordance with the current law, the Organization has approved an insurance, which covers the consequences of its civil responsibility as organizer and of its representatives.
